At WOW!, our innovative approach to music education focuses on the joy of playing music in an environment that nurtures students and encourages them to create their own music as well as collaborate with other musicians. Voice instruction at WOW! Music Studios is designed to teach beginning/novice and intermediate/advanced students techniques for healthy singing. Lessons will focus on: • Improving tone quality • Increasing vocal range • Encouraging vocal flexibility • Proper breathing techniques and body posture • Preparing for biannual WOW! musical performances (optional) • Preparing for upcoming vocal performances (your own projects) WOW!’s “Jam-BalayaTM” Our unique “Jam-BalayaTM” curriculum develops well-rounded musicians by exposing students to ensemble playing to hone the critical musicianship skill of being able to play together as a group. Periodic “Jam-Balaya sessions” will have voice students joining together with other students--either guitar and piano students at WOW! or other voice students--in small groups during some of their lessons.
